What about our existing Records Management System?

THREADS™ makes it easy to import records from most Records Management Systems. You can get thousands of subjects into the system with their phone numbers, addresses, physical descriptions, dates of birth, and tracking numbers in a matter of minutes. If your RMS system can export files in CSV format, THREADS™ can import them.

Do I need to buy additional modules?

No. THREADS™ includes everything in one package: case management, advanced analysis, prosecution materials. Everything you need to get data into the system and get intelligence-driven leads out is included. We even include Microsoft SQL Server Express in the installation package for smaller (or starter) databases.

Do I need to purchase anything for the database?

THREADS™ comes pre-packaged with Microsoft SQL Express, free of charge. SQL Express handles any number of THREADS™ users. The only practical limitation is that SQL Express can handle databases up to 4 GB in size. For larger databases, SQL Server 2000 or later Workgroup Edition is needed, both low-cost products. How much training is required?

THREADS™ was designed from the ground up to be intuitive. It's web-like navigation and home screen layout helps new users get up to speed quickly. Several "how-to" videos are included with THREADS™ to show how to do everything from getting started to importing call records. We can provide "hands-on" help over the internet, either on your computer or ours.

If you want training on investigative techniques using THREADS™, we can arrange training with seasoned investigators.
